Just Clowning Around

Just look at the huge smile on this little guys face you just can't help but smile yourself :) I adore this super happy and fun set from Sparkle N Sprinkle called 'Clowns'. I believe this set is also on offer right now :)

I wanted to make this card as colourful and bright as possible. I made the little banners using the Pennants nestabilities dies out of patterned paper and stuck them to the ric rac.

The sentiment is also part of the set. I added some glitter called Laser Blue also from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

Hello ;)

Hope you all had a fab Weekend? It was my Mum's 50th Birthday yesterday and she had a wonderful time spending it with her nearest and dearest. We had a lovely meal made by my sister with muscles in white wine sauce for starters followed by coq au  vin and of course a huge slice of birthday cake to finish......yummy!  She had some beautiful gifts and we are now looking forward to her party ;) 

Anyway here is a card I have made using this cute little stamp from Sparkle N Sprinkle and you can buy the set here.

I adore this image she is just too cute. I coloured her with copics and then added glitter also available from Sparkle N Sprinkle here. The glitters are the best I've used and the colour variety is fabulous. I have used Florida Beach and Autumn Medley.

The card base was made using one of my creative book pages grand nestabilities. I love how it turned out. The sentiment is one from an old set which I cut out with nesties tag and sponged distress ink over whilst it was still in the nestie.

Before I share my card today I just want to say that I recently decided to step down from the YNS design Team. I have been on the DT since the very beginning more  than a year ago and have made some wonderful crafting friends who I will remain to stay in touch with. If you have never visited YNS then i would recommend you do as Karen sells the most adorable stamps and often has a great sale on ;0)

Now my DT card today is for Toodles & Binks and made using a very funky Diva named 'Simone' and you can purchase her here at Stamp Galaxy for a bargain price. Kay also stocks a wide range of Copics and refils at a fab price.

I have been determined to use up scraps of designer paper in my scrap box and was pleased to find this pink and brown combo.

I coordinated Simone using my copics and made the sentiment myself.

YNS Challenge #15 - Going Dotty

Good Morning,

I'm here today with this weeks challenge for YNS and I'm also the host ;0)

Well if you visit my blog regularly you will know I love using all sorts of dots and spots on my creations so I decided on the theme 

'Going Dotty'.

You can add spots or dots on your creations in any way you can think of weather they are doodles, embellishments, paper etc...

For my card I have used 'Shopper Fhiona' and I added some liquid pearl to the spots on her headband and also her handbag. 

I then cut out a heart shape with my nestabilities and added some textured spots with the embossing folder.

Good morning,

I hope you have all had a lovely Valentines weekend ;0) Ryan and me decided to stay in and cook at home with a movie and some Hagan daz ice cream (strawberry Cheesecake) yummy!

Anyway today I want to share my 2 cards I have made using some of the new releases from YNS which you can purchase from today. This time around we aren't having a blog hop but you can still head over to Karen' s blog and enter a little contest she is running and you could win $20 in YNS bucks ;0)
For my first card I used one of Fhiona's stamps - 'Fhiona's Pets and Treats'. I chose the cute little bunny and I think she is so sweet.

I decided to do a shaped card and used my Blossom Nesties for the shape. I then made some more flowers using my flower creations set and inked  the embossed parts of the flowers. I love this look.

For my second card I used one of Franfrou's  animals stamps -  Vacation Don.

How cool is this guy? lol I really wanted to use some jazzy fun and bright colours for him and especially his little  car. After colouring the car I added my usual little spots to really make it pop. I also inked around Dan with some ink by sponging. I actually used my 1st ever craft purchase from 3 years ago  which are my Whispers ink pads. I am debating buying the Copic ABS but I need to do some more research first. Any advice greatly appreciated.

1st Motivet Stamp and Challenges

I have only just found this fab stamp company 'Motivet' and just adore their images. I also realised they have a challenge blog and I wanted to join in. This did mean I would need to use a Motivet stamp which wasn't a problem because I knew sooner or later I would give into temptation!

I must say that the quality is excellent and I got a crisp clean print first time using Memento Ink. The challenge is to follow the fun sketch below which I really enjoyed.

I used my copics for the sweet couple and they was great to colour........I can see another addiction coming on ;0) I pulled out some Making Memories paper pads and was spoilt for choice with the amount I realised I had and never used! I am also into making my own flowers lately as you can get the perfect colour match for

your card. I followed a tutorial over at the Whiff of joy Inspiration blog by the very talented Michelle Roos who also sells her beautiful flowers and I'm so pleased with how it turned out. The sweet sentiment is from a set called Two Little Love birds from The Cutting Cafe'. Regina has some fab new sets over there.

YNS Blog Hop........feelin hot hot hot

Hi Guys and welcome to the YNS blog hop! If you have arrived here from the wonderful Maureen's blog then you are on the right track ;0) This hop will be so much fun because to tie in with the fab new releases which are Surfer Fhinn, Aloha Fhiona, Rockstar Fhinn & Rockstar Fhiona the DT have been asked to relate the stamp we are using to either a a favourite Holiday destination or our favourite pop group. We must also include a picture with a reason why it is our favourite holiday or group. Well I had chosen to use Surfer Fhinn and this stamp set is so versatile.

For my 1st creation I used Fhinn himself riding the waves and I thought the inverted scallop circle nesties would look cool as a shaped card to look like the sun.

Now for my second creation I have combined my picture from one of my favourite holidays into my project. This was taken of Ryan and me back in 2002 in the Dominican Republic.

It was a fantastic holiday and we made some super friends who we have kept in touch with. This particular photograph was taken on an excursion to Paradise Island and paradise it really was. Perfect blue sky and white sand on a tiny piece of island covered with palm trees. We went scuba diving and on a boat tour around the mango groves and then to finish the day off we stopped off at a little shack to eat. It was a truly unforgettable day.
Anyway back to reality and a cold one at that! lol I have used the palm tree stamp which you also get with surfer Fhinn and it is actually 7 times bigger than the charm I have turned it into because I stamped it using shrink plastic. The little lizards are also part of the set.

Sorry this a few days late but hopefully I'm nearly caught up with most of my creations. The pic's are not that great either with lack of sunlight so I do apologize!

Cabio wanted us to make a Birthday card/project with hearts and here is my take.

I used 'Rainy Day's Fhiona' and I masked the umbrella on the stamp with masking tape so I could stick her next to the Balloons on my paper.
