InStyle Blog Hop

Happy Friday All :)
Welcome to this months Blog Hop with InStyle Stamps. This month's theme is 'Easter' and what a lovely fresh time of the year celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. I just love all the spring colours and not forgetting all that choccie goodness! lol Now if you have arrived here from the fabulous Taylor's blog then you are on the right track.
Here are my Easter themed projects and believe me I was super good at trying not to eat the eggs before I completed them but I will let you into a little secret........they have now gone!
Attached to the little Easter tin is 'Honey Bunny' how sweet is she??? Remember if you use my InStyle links you will receive a 5% discount off your purchase ;0)
I also made a carrot treat container which I thought would look good to give with the tin. The template for the carrot can be found here.
The sentiment stamp comes as part of 'Fluffy Chick' stamp set from YNS.
Now if you fancy winning a set of one of the new sets of Spellbinders nesties (Labels 10) then all you need to do is hop along to each DT blog leaving a comment on every one and choose your favourite Easter project. You then hop back to InStyle Blog and make your vote and it's that simple ;0) The DT member who wins will also receive a Spellbinders prize too.
Now I would obviously love your vote but most of all enjoy yourself and have a wonderful Easter ;0)
Your next stop is the wonderful Janelle's blog.

PDS Challenge #12 & Sneak Peek

Good Afternoon Guys, I'm sorry I've not been around much this week but I have had so much DT stuff to do I have had little time to blog and visit but I will try and find some time later today ;0)
Today it's challenge time over at PDS challenge blog and this week the wonderful Cabio wants to see 'Flowers and Buttons' on your creations.
Here is my take on the challenge and I have also used an image from the next release 'In The Meadow' which will be available on the 18th from PDS. I love this sweet image and the rest are equally as fab.
I again used my sewing machine but this time I decided to sew alongside all my paper layers to give me more confidence and I think it worked as I don't seem as afraid of the machine anymore lol! I pleated my ribbon and added the crochet flower and button. The papers are from a new paper download shop I came across called 'Nitwits' and they do some wonderful kits!  This paper set is called 'Prints Charming' and I must say I purchased quite a few kits because they are such great value.
Please check out all the PDS blogs because they will be showcasing sneak peeks of the next release 'In The Meadow'.
I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

We have also been working on the new images which will be released on the 1st  of March called 'Down The Rabbit Hole' from PDS.
For my card I have used 'Spot of Tea' and I think it is so cute. I added the sentiment which is from a set over at The Cutting Cafe' called 'Trees in a row'.

I decided to use my pencils and blending solution for a change. I then added a strip along the bottom using MS doily lace punch and some ric rac. I also used dew drops for the teapot and teacup.

Pixie Dust Challenge#7 & New Releases

Good Morning Guys,
I'm so excited today because the Paper Pixies have so many wonderful creations to share with you! Firstly we have the Pixie Dust Challenge which is today and we want you to use a 'Decorative border' on your creations.
For my card I used this cheeky little monkey which is from today's new release 'Wild Flowers' and he was a dream to colour.

I used my MS branch punch to add some dimension to the branch  and my new MS loop punch for my decorative edge. I made the sentiment myself in AI.
Here is a preview of the new images today over at PDS and you will be 'Wild' about this one.
If you check out the DT blogs you will be filed with so much inspiration and we would love you to join us for the PDS Challenge.

Thanks Teacher

Please click on pictures to enlarge
Hi Guys,
Hope you are all ready for the weekend and if you are a 'Mom' in the US I hope you all have a wonderful mother's day ;0)
This card was made for this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant using one of the new sets from The cutting Cafe' called 'Thanks Teacher'.The challenge is to use scallops and circles. The circle is a little smaller than 4.5" but you can manipulate the size using your software. You also get 6 sentiments with this and I used one here. I made the scalloped shaped card myself by welding 2 Accent 31s shapes (Page 62) from 'Accent Essentials cart' on my Cricut DS. I cut it at 5". I then cut another scallop the same size using some textured card stock. I resized the circle stamp to 4" and then cut another circle on my Cricut at 3" for the centre of the stamp using my 'Making Memories - cheeky collection Abby' paper. I then made a little embellishment from an extra large paperclip and cut another scallop at 1". I then doodled around the shapes with a white marker to make it pop. I put some clear gloss on Tilda's glasses. Now I mentioned on an earlier post about my new colouring technique and said I was going to explain so here goes.
I am sure many of you have heard about using baby oil and wax crayons to get a similar effect to using Gamsol or Sansodor solvent. Anyway after buying a set of Derwent coloursoft pencils which are suppose to be a cheaper version of Prisma pencils and a large botle of Sansodor and 3 packs of blending stumps I started to colour one of my stamps and after about 5 mins I stared feeling really e sick..........this was with leaving the top on the solvent so lord knows how I would have felt if I had left it off!!!! This got me thinking that I needed to try something else and the only thing I had in close to baby oil was some of Harvey's Johnsons baby gel oil. Now it is still oil based but it is like hair gel rather than runny oil. I put a small amount into an egg cup and voila I was so thrilled with the result. It blended like a dream and apart from anything else I smelt really nice and my hands was lovely and soft!!!lol When I get some time over the weekend I will put a little tutorial with pics to show how easy it is and best of all how CHEAP!!!!!! I forgot to mention because I am feeling really guilty......I didn't even use my new pencils instead I used my ancient Crayola pencils which was something like £3.99 and they work exactly the same! ;0)

Little Dog

Hi Everyone,
Sorry I haven't been blogging for a while but I have had the horrible summer flu!!!!
I have only just started to feel better and I still have a snuffly nose!
I made this card using Paper Pups cart on the expression.
The card base was cut at 6", I then cut a rectangle on George at 6" and put a circle in the centre from PP cut at 3.5". I then layered this onto the base and cut the circle with the dog at 3.5".
The paper (Dovecraft Glamour) and ribbons are both available from http://www.dottydocrafts.com/
Anyway it was my B'day on Saturday and even though I was feeling groggy I had some gorgeous gifts and lots of Money, and some lovely time eating lots of lovely food oudoors with my family.

Thank You card for Enfys

Morning Everyone,
This is a card I did for Enfys http://going-buggy.blogspot.com/ after winning some wonderful Rhonna Farrer stamps which Enfys very kindly had up for grabs for blog candy (Very Generous Indeed)!
I have just got the friskars bow maker which I used to create the bow on this card and the card base was on the expression using DS with BB cart. The stanp was flowers by Rhonna Farrer.
Hope you have a great day.

New Arrival

Good Morning Bloggers!
I was playing around yesterday with the DS & decided I wanted to do something with this stork. Here is the result. I used New Arrival for Stork and baby, & good old George for base of the card.
The stork was cut at 5.5 " no RDS & the baby was cut at 3" no RDS. I used an eyelet to attach the satin ribbon through and attached it to the beak. In reality it looks quite good as the baby swings! lol. The background 'cloud' paper is DCWV and I thought it was perfect for this card. TFL

Funky Iguana

Hi Guys,
I have been unable to blog for a couple of days as my new laptop decided to frazzle out on me!!!!
Anyway I am now up & running again and I decided to show this rather funny looking guy aka as Iguana!
To be honest I didn't know what to make of him but he seemed to go down well with the guys on the cricut site. He is kinda growing on me I suppose!
He was cut on the cricut using zooballoo at 5" RDS.
All the layers was cut at 9.5 " no RDS.
Hope you all have a great day!

Hello Friend

This card was made for a friend Julie H www.huxstershouse.blogspot.com (check out her fab blog) who very kindly posted me some skittles!
I designed the card with the cricut DS.
I used WIMG for the plant pot and Pooh and friends for Winnie.
The DS is fab because it opens up so many more possibilities with your cartridges.
I have not yet tried to save and share cut files as this was my 1st real project, I will look at doing this sometime today.
Have a great day!
