May the spirit of Christmas be with you Son.

Hi Everyone!

It's been a few weeks since my last post because if you read the post below you will know my sister just had her beautiful baby girl 'Erica'. I'm so thrilled as I was the only sibling to have had children so I'm now a very proud Auntie! 

Today's card is one I have made for my oldest son Owen. Yes I'm still slugging away at the Christmas cards and still have quite a few to make!

I love these digis I purchased last year from 'Angels Landing'.

I used my Labels 13 nesties to make the card base and ran it though the cuttlebug to emboss with snowflakes. I then added some Silver stickles to highlight.

I hope you guys are more organised than me and are well on your way with Christmas duties. I do have a bit of an excuse however as I was crazy enough to have the builders in to rip out my old bathroom out last week in the middle of all the snow. They are just doing the finishing touches now so hopefully  we can get back to normal........for a while! lol

Ready, Set, Snow!

Today I have created a bright and cheerful Christmas card which turned out being much more pink and girlie than I had expected but who don't lurve Pink?

I wanted to use some of my never ending supply of Christmas mat stacks I have so I decided on this cute sheet from The Winter Stack by DCWV. I then searched on the net for cute snowmen colouring images and found this guy or girl in my case lol and thought it would be perfect. After I'd  coloured her in using my Copics I ran it through my Cuttlebug using 'snowflakes' embossing folder.

 I also had a go at adding some pleated ribbon and added a very sparkly snowflake to embelish.

The sentiment I made myself using a font called Chalkboard from ScrapNfonts.

The bottom edge below the snowmen was made using my wave EK success punch.

Festive Friends

 Hi Everyone,

I went for my 20 week baby scan  last Thursday and little Baba looked so cute and adorable but most importantly was all healthy and well ;0) It is such a relief when the sonographer tells you baby looks fine and you see that little heart beating! Well we did find out the sex but we haven't yet decided whether or not to tell anyone or keep it a surprise? We will have to see ;0)

Anyway I made a start on my Christmas cards a couple of days ago using these adorable new digis from The Pink Cat Studio. 
I made the sentiments myself.

I have used all the images and tried to keep them simple but effective so I can make them in bulk. Now I have been asked if I would sell these in a pack of say 5 and was wondering if anyone could advice me on a reasonable price you think I should suggest?

 I will be making more and Regina from The Cutting Cafe' has just released some fab Christmas digis so I will be using them also.

I Hope you have all had a wonderful weekend! Mine was spent relaxing and watching lot's of TV which I don't normally do apart from Coronation Street (I'm a big fan).

Today I have made a card not quite my usual bright style but it's good to try out other things and I'm finding I'm using things I forgot I even had since I'm now only on the 1 design team.

I wanted to try an aperture card using my nestabilities and because the card base is only 4.5 x 4.5"  I used a small labels 1 die. With the cut out I embossed it using one of my embossing folders called????? I'll let you know it's the one that gives a wood effect lol I then used my never used before Chisel it tool and sanded across the embossing. I'm really pleased with the outcome and will be using this more often.

 I then framed around the aperture and also sanded around the edge. The little birdie stamp is from a set called 'Feathered Friends' from DoveCraft and I popped him using 3D foam squares. The corner stamp is also a DoveCraft stamp from the 'Wild Asparagus' set. I finished the card off by adding a few branches made with my MS punch and a sentiment.

With Love - PDS Sneak Peek

Hello Guys,

Today I'm just about getting my voice back and Harvey's Chicken Pox are nearly all scabbed over so I think we are both on the mend! lol

Anyway today I have a sneak peek of one of the new images from tomorrows release 'The Pearl' over at The Studio.

For this card I have used 'Mermaid and the Pearl' and you can purchase her from tomorrow.

Now for this card I wanted to use my sadly neglected embossing folders to create a nice and crisp looking card with just a little colour. I also added a couple of score lines above and below the embossed sentiment using my Scor - pal.

I will definitely be  using this technique again as I really like this look.
