Little Miss scotty

Hello and Happy Friday :)

I'm back to share another card for this weeks challenge at PolkaDoodles which is hosted by Fliss.

The challenge is to make a shaped card and I love shaped cards so I really enjoyed this one.

What made this even more fun is that I was able to use my pazzle to cut out the little doggy using 'Paper Boutique vol 3' which is packed full of fab and fun templates.

Here I've used 'Buster' but decided to make him into a her lol

I decided if I can make 'Buster' a girl then why not have a spotty little doggy too! I have used 'Pretty Sweet' for the papers another fab CD full of goodies for you ;)

Sending Treats Is Awful Sweet.

 I just adore this new set Regina over at The Cutting Cafe' has designed. You can use these delicious Candy shaped cards for almost any occasion. I decided to go bright as usual and thought it would be great for a Halloween card.

 I have also used another new set called 'Halloween Treats Just For You' 

for the sentiment and they come coloured or B&W. You also get a couple of candy toppers in different sizes.

I cut my card out on my pazzle but the file comes with a PDF also so you can hand-cut it if you don't have a cutting machine.

I added some card candy on the stripes and I think they look really jazzy.

I finished off by adding 2 small organza bows on the wrapper ends.

Good Evening All :0)

 I am truly in the Halloween spirit at the moment and decided to get Owen and Harvey's cards done first in case I run out of time!

Well not that I need an excuse to purchase craft goods but I thought I would  have a look around for some cute images and I come across a place called The Stamping Bazaar. I instantly took a liking to this cute little guy called 'Marvin Trick or Treat' 

 I was lucky enough to purchase 3 different images of him for $10. This is for a limited time only so hurry if you want to grab these cuties!

I coloured him using my Derwent coloursoft pencils and blended with oil.

The sentiment is available from The Cutting Cafe' from a set called 'Halloween Time'.

It's also time for The Cutting Cafe' Monthly Inspiration and the design team never fails to inspire me with all the wonderful creations. I'm so proud to be part of this team ;0)

The little bat embellishment was cut out on my pazzle and highlighted with my silver marker.

Bewitched

Hi guys,
Are you ready for the weekend? This week went by so quickly I can't believe it! Anyway here is a card I made using a new set from The Cutting Cafe' called 'Witches Hat' and it comes with a WPC and a PDF file and also 2 sentiments to go with it. I love the symmetry of this hat it gives it a real modern look. The green elegant paper is also a new set from Funky Fairys and is called 'Fancy Flourish'. Shaz has done some wonderful new collections and there is a fabulously spooky one just in time for your Halloween creations. Hope you have a super weekend :0)

Firstly my Fil is now at home and feeling much better. In the end he needed 3 Stents after the angiogram because 3 arteries were damaged! Apparently they try to use this procedure instead of doing a bypass which he was dreading seeing as though he already had a double one. We can't believe he was in and out of hospital within 4 days, it just goes to show how medicine has improved within the last 5 years.
Now moving on to my creation which I am very excited about because I designed this word book all by myself using my Pazzle. I decided to make my sister Jade a little notebook after just finishing all her exams and after visiting her 1st art exhibition to see all the amazing work she has worked very hard at and it was so fabulous. All the papers I used was from Summertime designs which you can find here. Summer does the most beautiful papers so be sure to check out her site. I then used 'journaling boxes' which is a Doodlebat from 'ScrapNfonts' to make the pages which i sized and printed on card. The word book was first cut using chipboard and then covered with the papers. I finished it off by binding it all together using my BIA and added ribbons and buttons to embellish.

Welcome Spring Greeting Card Folder

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend I have really enjoyed myself today because I have actually done some stamping which is something I hardly get round to doing. I made this Greeting card folder from a set over at the The Cutting Cafe' it was so simple to assemble together and was so much fun to make. I cut it out using my pazzle but if you don't have one you also get the cut as a PDF which you print, cut and embellish. The folder holds 4 x 6"x4" card and envelopes. The paper on the front is DCWV 'spring glitter mat stack'. The image is from a free set but I forgot where from so I am going to have a browse later or if anyone knows please let me know and I will post it here. I chalked the image an added some mulberry flowers.
The flower stamps on the inside are Rhonna Farrer and the cards are also DCWV.

Conversation Box

Well, with Valentine's Day only being a week away I thought I would make a project using this sweet little download from The Cutting Cafe'. It will hold a Conversation Candy Box perfectly (US), or you can put any little treat in you wish! The set comes with 2 cuts, one with the heart cut and one without and you also get a handle and frame for the heart.

The paper is from a gorgeous bumper set called 'Ecclectic Lurve' from FunkyFairys. You will be spoilt for choice with all the colours and designs in this fab set.

I Will Always Love You

My Goodness 2 posts in one day I really am trying to keep motivated............

This card was created using a new set from The Cutting Cafe'. The set consist of Circle, Half Circle, Oval, Frame, Star, Heart and Round Square shaped cards which you an find here. You can really use your imagination with this fab variety and if you need any inspiration just check out the gorgeous designs from the DT members in the gallery. As you can see this card is very simple and because of this I wanted to add one eye catching embellishment on it. The Round sentiment is also from The Cutting cafe' and can be found here. I then just added the pink pearl trim around and one also in the centre of the flower.

Love Is Sweet

Evening All,

I know I keep saying this but I have been a really bad blogger/craft er since Christmas and I have promised to be more active, however I have had lots going on over the holidays and just found it difficult to get motivated.

Anyway I am trying to focus and get back to what I enjoy doing and I think it may well be what I need right now.

Here is a project I made using the ever so brilliant designs from the The Cutting Cafe' from a set called Cupcakes. Regina's designs are so fun and easy to use that you can have a project completed in no time (Say's me) lol but really you can ;0)

I love cupcakes has they always make me smile. The paper I used for the 'filling' was perfect and from a set called 'Doodlementals add on paperpack 1' which is a free download from Funky Fairy's Inspiration site which you can find here. I put the pink card through a paper crimper and created the heart using my pazzle.

One more thing please check FunkyFairy's Inspiration site tomorrow where you will find a nice surprise but my lips are sealed till then ;0)

Eskimo & Penguin

Happy Sunday everyone,

Can't believe how quickly the days running up to Christmas are flying by....... Gosh I still have cards to make, pressies to buy and not to mention the rest!!!!!

Hope you guys are well on your way with your tasks lol

Anyway here is one down...

I designed the igloo on the pazzle and then embossed and highlighted it with chalk. The adorable eskimo and penguin are from a clipart CD I have and then converted the images to a cut fie and paper pieced it back together.

I think this is such an unusaul and cute card. The little gift package was made very easily and you can find out how on the post below. The paper is from a Christmas stack from DCWV.

Gift Boxes

Hi Guys,

Here are the gift boxes I made for my brother and sister's b'day.

They are the quater fold boxes from The Cutting Cafe' which are ideal for holding cd's. My brother's cd was a triple album and it still went in perfectly.
The little gift cartons are made very easily and you can find out how here. I filled these with chocolates!!
The papers for both are from a set called 'Boys and Girls' at FunkyFairy's papercrafts.

The circle sentimentas are also FunkyFairy's from Birthday rounds.

Rock Star Guitar

I have been so busy this weekend I haven't had chance to post much. We took the boys to see Madagascar 2 yesterday and we really enjoyed it: ) I know the 1st one practically word for word as Harvey was pretty obsessed with it!!!

Anyway as I mentioned it was my twin brother and sister's b'day on Friday and here is the card I made for my sister who is currently learning to play the guitar.

I originally saw a card using this template on my very creative friend's blog Catherine. Do take a peek at her blog she is so inspiring.

I used 'Rockstar' papers from DCWV.

Cool Brother

Hi Guys,

Today is my Teenage Twin brother and sisters birthday and they will be 14!!! I really found it quite challenging to make a teenage boy card as I love girly colours, ribbons and buttons.

Anyway here is what I ended up with and I quite like it.

The paper is from FunkyFairys called Boys and Girls and they are the perfect colours for my trendy brother. The cog frame is from my pazzle and the circle sentiment is also Funkyfairys from a set called Birthday rounds.

I will post my sisters card later.

Santa Hat

Hi Guys,

This little Santa Hat is another cut from The Cutting Cafe'.

You could use this cut in many ways. I did a shaped card and the Other DT did some great examples you can view here.

1st Christmas Carousel

Hi guys,

Here is my take on Challenge 42 over at FunkyFairy's New Forum. This week you can choose either the fab sketch by Shaz or create something pink/blue, or do both or combine the two!!!

Take a look at the other fab creations from the DT on the forum or have a go at the challenge yourself :)

I decided to do something pink/blue and wanted to a 3D creation. I know someone did a beautiful traditional carousel last year on the cricut site but I can't remember who :(

(Just found out it was Beatriz Jennings) who does beautiful creations.

I didn't really know where to start so I just had a play on my pazzle and cricut. I used a toilet roll tube for the middle and covered it with paper. The top was made by cutting a circle and then cutting to the centre, folding and taping to create the cone shape. I then stuck this on a circle made from thick card. The base was made again by cutting a circle from thick card and then I cut a border from AE on my cricut and glued it to the base. Once I had put all the main structure together I decided to use ribbon for the poles and cut out 4 different shapes from JOTS and CC on the cricut. I cut each shape twice so when I stuck them to the ribbon they would have a front and back. To finish it off I embellished with buttons and more ribbon. All the papers for this project was from FunkyFairy's from a free download called Blue Christmas which you can find here.

Birthday Set.

Good Morning,

This is a set I put together for my mum's Birthday. The gorgeous little cupcake box and the long window box are both from The Cutting Cafe'. I filled the Cupcake box with yummy choccies and put some marshmallows and hot chocolate sachets in the long box ( a perfect combination for a winters night)! My Mum was so delighted what I had put together for her I just don't think she wanted to open them!
